10 WINTER CRAFTS FOR YOUR CREATIVE KIDS I BY STAR OF BABY

1. Bubble wrap snowy tree: This amazing craft would be loved by kids surely as all kids get excited about the snow. So, just keep the required things handy and go for it!

Material required:

  • Black colour paint
  • White colour paint
  • Bubble wrap
  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors
  • A blue sheet

Steps to follow:

  • Start by drawing a tree trunk with some branches on the sheet. Use black paint to draw the tree. You can also help them draw the tree.
  • Cut the bubble wrap into small pieces (don’t let your kid use scissors, you cut the pieces). Now, take the white colour out and paint the circle of the bubble wrap.
  • Now, place the painted side of the bubble wrap onto a branch of the tree and press down firmly.
  • Remove the bubble wrap.
  • Repeat this process to cover all the branches until they are randomly covered in snow. The simple and creative snow art is completed.

2. Cotton ball snowman:

 Making this cotton ball snowman is so easy and quick and is relatively affordable too.

Material required:

  • Plain white cotton balls
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Black paper
  • 2 white chart papers
  • Watercolours
  • Glitters
  • Pencil

Steps to follow:

  • Paint a colourful and beautiful background for your snowman on the white chart using watercolours. Sprinkle some glitter on it, and let it dry.
  • Now, draw a snowman on a white chart roughly using a pencil.
  • You’re ready to start building the snowman. Put some glue on the snowman drawing and get your children to place the cotton balls on top of the glue until the snowman is completely filled with white cotton balls.
  • While your kids are busy doing all this, you can cut out other features of the snowman like a hat, nose, eyes, and buttons from the black chart paper.
  • To complete the craft, stick the cutouts onto the snowman, and we’re good to go!
  • You can make it more creative and attractive as per your and your kids' choice. 

3. Ice cream stick wall hangings:

This simple ice cream stick wall hanging art is suitable for kids ages 6-10.

Material required:

  • Ice cream sticks
  • Watercolours
  • Paintbrush
  • Glittery sheet
  • Glue
  • Ribbon
  • Glitter

Steps to follow:

  • Colour the sticks with the colour of your choice, sprinkle the glitter on them and let them dry.
  • With the help of glue join the sticks with each other on the corners making a frame-like structure.
  • Draw little stars on the glittery sheet and cut them.
  • Paste the stars on each corner of the frame.
  • Tie the ribbon on one corner of the frame.
  • Your beautiful ice cream stick wall hanging is ready.

4. Cute Paper Polar bear: This snowy polar bear is a simple creative art that can be done within a few minutes.

Material required:

  • Watercolours
  • Black marker pens
  • Paintbrush
  • Glue
  • Googly eyes
  • Scissors
  • 2 white chart papers

Steps to follow:

  • Mix a tint of blue colour in white colour, and add a few drops of water to it.
  • Now begin with painting the chart paper with the paint you mixed. Once done, wait for it to dry.
  • Cut out the parts and features of the polar bear such as the body, legs, nose and face.
  • You can use a round object to trace if you want a perfectly circular face, but don’t forget to add the ears of the bear.
  • You can use the black marker pen to highlight the features and body parts of the bear. 
  • Now glue up all the pieces correctly.
  • Stick the googly eyes and your polar bear is ready.

 

5. Fibre plate aquarium: This attractive and creative aquarium winter craft is suitable for kids aged 10-15. Kids would love this activity.

Material needed:

  • 1 fibre plate
  • Acrylic colours
  • Paintbrush
  • Tiny pebbles
  • Plastic wrap
  • Glue
  • Art clay
  • Sparkle

Steps to follow:

  • Colour the whole plate with a single coat of white, and light blue colour respectively.
  • Sprinkle the sparkle on the wet colour and let it dry.
  • Create watery effects using sea green and dark blue colours.
  • Now make some tiny fish-like shapes. (use different shapes like starfish and catfish)
  • Colour the pebbles with brown and green colours and paste them on the plate (only at the base like an aquarium).
  • Paste the clay fishes randomly, you also can create a bubbly effect on the plate using white colour.
  • Cover the plate using plastic wrap (fix a hook to hang the aquarium on the wall).
  • Your fibre plate aquarium is ready!!!
